Top Speed Record Bikes in The World
Top Speed Record Bikes in The World
Bikes traditionally have been a segment in the automobile industry that has out-accelerated all other segments with their power against weight ratio. However, they have always lacked speed when compared to supercars. Now, wouldn’t we all agree that experience on a superbike or a supercar has a different thrill when compared to the normal ones?
The list we share today contains some of the fastest Speed Record bikes of the world and the list keeps on updating based on the top speed and acceleration. Wondering what are Speed Record Bikes and how they are different from Superbikes? Well, the Speed Record bikes are the ones that are manufactured and designed only to set records whereas, Superbikes are normal production bikes that are produced for the consumption of the general public.
Turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa
This is so far the fastest bike on Earth and the only one to reach a maximum speed of 500kmph. Also, it is the only bike to reach this far and the ones who beat this creation are all the non-conventional motorcycles. Let’s make it more interesting; this motorcycle touched 500kmph in just 2.5km. The monster functions on a modified turbocharged 1000hp engine that used methanol as fuel. It is a self-modified motorcycle by Bill Warner and it continues to hold on to this record of the fastest conventional motorcycle.
Tomahawk is a creation from the roof of Dodge. The engine and power of this motorcycle are enormous and owners of the motorcycle cannot ride it. It can reach up to a lightning speed of 480kmph and uses an 8.3-litre V10 engine to do so. With a tremendous 500hp @ 712Nm of torque, this behemoth can conquer SRT10 and Dodge Viper in terms of noise and speed.
Kawasaki Ninja H2R
Ninja H2R is an advanced Speed record bike version of Ninja H2 which is a superbike. In its first run, H2R created a record of reaching 400kmph in just 26 seconds. Loaded with a supercharged 998cc engine, this motorcycle can generate up to 310hp @ 156Nm of torque. It has an acceleration power to reach 0-60kmph in just 2 seconds.
MTT Street-fighter joined with H2R
Before H2R was designed, this motorcycle was the sole owner of this spot. It is a version of the MTT Turbine Superbike designed and presented from the roof of Rolls Royce. The only difference between an H2R and MTT, Ninja H2R can do such a run only once and while keeping the environment stable and suitable for the run. MTT, on the other hand, can do it several times due to its jet lineage. It runs on a 249cc gas turbine engine generating power up to 420hp @ 678Nm of torque. Look at the torque this monster generates! It’s humongous but what is more interesting is that the body of the vehicle is designed in such a manner that it can handle all that force without breaking a sweat. If you are willing to own it, don’t worry, just spend Rs. 1.20crore and you can feel the thrill of hitting 400kmph.
MTT Turbine Superbike
The last contestant of our list is the MTT Turbine Superbike which is an original version from the roof of Rolls Royce. It sports an engine that was used for powering jets but if you look at the figures, it handles 249cc engine with Gas Turbine and has the power to generate 320hp @ 578Nm of torque. This vehicle can reach up to 370.3kmph in a single run and yes it is available for purchase at just Rs. 1.37crores.
If you are a speed freak and you think that only supercars can handle enormous speed, think again as these superbikes are capable of bringing several supercars to shame.
