The New Edition of the Audi A6 is All Set To Launch
The German luxury brand of cars is preparing to launch its new edition of the Audi – the A6 – in India. The expected launch of the Audi A6 is around the end of May, and the brand looks keen to get ‘back in the game’.The A6 is super equipped to give competition to multiple brands in the market. The launch date was officially announced first at the Geneva Motor Show.
The 2019 Audi A6 is expected to be priced between Rs 55-63 lakhs. It will be followed by the launch of the new Audi A8 L.The new Audi A6 will be available in diesel as well as petrol options and the pictures have suggested that the new Audi A6 is much bigger, too.
According to Audi, the new A6 is now 7mm longer, 12mm wider and 2mm taller than its predecessor. The measurement of wheelbase has also increased by 12mm to 2,924mm which is lighter, more comfortable and spacious inside for rear passengers.
The A6’s material quality, and fit and finish are said to be almost as good as on the A8, and Audi’s new ‘glass cockpit’ is sure to impress even the most constant buyers; it gets not one, not two but three large screens – a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.1-inch screen on top of the central console, and another 8.6-inch one below it. Audi designers say they aren’t fans of using a single large iPad-like screen; the lower one has been separated to offer instant and easy access to necessary like seat and air-con controls.
The top model will have a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System delivering 3D sound. The 3.0-litre TFSI petrol motor will churn 335 hp of max power and 500 Nm of peak torque clubbed to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox. The 3.0 litre TDI diesel unit will churn out 282 hp of max power and 620 Nm of peak torque fitted to an 8 speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. There would also be 2.0-litre options on offer.
The final look and more features of the car will be there in the market once it is launched. We are really excited to see the new edition of the Audi and hope the brand maintains its reputation of never disappointing its audience.
