Datsun GO CVT & GO+ CVT Open to Pre-Book for Rs 11, 000

Nissan India has commenced pre-bookings for the CVT variants of Datsun GO and GO+. Customers now can pre-book Datsun Go CVT and Go+ CVT with a complete refundable down payment of Rs 11, 000 at any of the Nissan and Datsun dealerships across the country. The launch date has not been announced, but it is expected to be on sale on October 2019.

Announcing the beginning of the pre-bookings, Rakesh Srivastava, the Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd stated, “We are introducing Nissan’s proven CVT technology in Datsun GO and GO+ to cater to the demand of customers pan India. The new Datsun GO CVT and GO+ CVT is the first-in-segment with the USP of 5S – SPACE, SAFE, SMART, STYLE and SURE (Japanese technology). We are confident that these class leading offerings will surely delight the customers.”

The Datsun GO and GO+ CVT deliver excellent crash performance, and roof and pedestrian protection reinforcement. The first-in-segment Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), dual airbags, the anti-lock braking system with EBD and BA, engine immobilizer, reverse parking sensors, and follow-me-home headlamps speed sensing auto door locks are some features that make Datsun GO CVT and GO+ CVT one of the safest cars in the segment.

The Go and Go+ are soon going to become the first in their segment to host a CVT-automatic gearbox, where their competitors get the cost-effective Automated Manual Transmissions (AMTs). Both, Go and Go+ CVT are packed with 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that do the job in manual models. The CVT-equipped versions put out a higher 77hp compared to the 68hp in the manuals, however, at 104Nm, torque remains the same.

News reports say that Datsun will deliver a CVT gearbox option only on the top two trim levels – T and T (O).  Both the variants are expected to feature a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear washer/wiper and manual AC. The top-spec T(O) variant will consist of LED DRLs and 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. To ensure safety, they have a Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), which is a segment-first, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, seatbelt reminder, and rear parking sensors.
